Mrs. Imogene Constance Boles Hubbert was born June 10, 1934, in Port Tampa, Florida to the late William Boles and Christine Allen "Mama Tina". Jean graduated from Middleton Senior High School in Tampa, Florida. She worked as a music teacher at St. Peter Claver Catholic School, Tampa Housing Authority and retired from Northside Mental Health Center. Jean accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the family of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Port Tampa, Florida. She was a member of St. Mark for more than 80 years.
She was well known for her extraordinary talent of playing the piano. She played for St. Mark's Sunday school and various church choirs including: First Baptist Church of West Tampa, under Pastor M.C. Johnson, Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church, under Pastor Gaddis, Sylvan Abbey United Methodist Church, Clearwater, FL., Union AME 92, Seffner, FL., Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church, Brooksville, FL., under her son, Pastor Cecill Hubbert and other churches in the Tampa Bay Area. Jean also played on the radio station in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Hubbert; brother, William Boles, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughter, Cynthia A. Vereen; sons, Rev. Cecill Hubbert (Loretta) and Deacon Earl Hubbert (Robin); grandchildren, Chauncey Cuffie (Christina), Reynard Cuffie, Ernest Vereen, Dorian Vereen, Jeremy Vereen, Christopher Vereen, Zephran Vereen, Sr., Malcom Hubbert (Carissa), Charles Hubbert, Shressha Hubbert Hughes (Pierre), Carey Hubbert, Cecelia Hubbert Williams, Christen Hubbert; Erika Hubbert Solivan (Justin), Sweden Hubbert Jaramillo (Robert), Michael Hubbert and Earl Hubbert, Jr., and a host of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lamont Boles, James Boles, and Andre Boles; cousins, Ruth Ann Neal, Lee Andrew Allen, Clarence Allen, and a host of other relatives; close family friend, Martha Thompson and family.
