Homegoing Services for Mr. Irie Lee Diggs of Tampa who passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012, will be held Saturday, September 15th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Gloria Hinds, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Irie was born in Eufaula, Alabama on November 3, 1948. He enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by parents, Annie Lee Mcghown and John Diggs; brothers, John C Diggs and Arthur Diggs and sisters, Lucy Parker and Ella Mae Curtis. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with fiancAC.e, Gwendolyn Taylor; daughter, Gwendolyn Long (Mark); grandchildren, Talyia Jackson, Larica Jackson, Makyliah Long, Mariunah Long, Deon Jackson and Eddie Jackson; great grandchildren, Ahmarie Jackson, Rashon Johnson and Kamaria Cook; brother, Lonnie C. Diggs (Willie Frank) of Eufala, Alabama; sister, Mary A Diggs; aunts, Verise Crews and Mary Lee Baker; nieces, Chiffon Welcome, Gloria W. Young, Edith Diggs, Lynette Ross and Jretha Diggs; nephews, Robert Thomas (Bernice),Larry Thomas (Semons), Charles Thomas (Kate) and John Q. Diggs (Abbey); sister-in-law, Rubydale Diggs; devoted friend, Cynthia Mann and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening.
