Homegoing Services for Mr. Jack Napoleon Miller II of Tampa, who passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, will be held Saturday, August 1st 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Apostle Cynthia Ford, officiating. The interment will be in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Brandon, Florida. Mr. Miller was born November 4, 1952 in Tampa to the late Jack Napoleon Miller, Sr. and Fannie Mae Miller. Jack was raised in Central Park Village, where he formed many lasting friendships. He was educated in the Hillsborough County School System. Upon completing his education, he joined the U. S. Army and served for several years and was honorably discharged. Upon his return he met his mate Linda Scurry. He pursued a career as a truck driver and retired. He was an educator at heart and loved children, fishing and keeping up with politics and world news. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Al Miller; nieces, Regina Garden, Debra Bythewood and Denise Black. He leaves to mourn his passing: companion, Linda Scurry Miller; children, Robert, Latisha, Jermaine (Nikita) and Jack Miller III; grandchildren, Jakeriya, Janiya, Jermaine Miller II, Ronisha, Robert, Alfonso, Linden and Tavis Wilson, Jack IV, Olivya and Jaxton Miller, Imani Fields and Deltorrio Johnson; brother, Larry V. Miller (Jeffrie), Danny and Roger Miller; sister Sheila Miller Smith (Thomas); brothers-in-law, Herman Osborne (Joyce) and Michael Davis (Linda); and a host nieces, nephews and a host of other sorrowing relatives including the Morgan, Woodall, Walker and Simmons families and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 31st from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service.
