Born on February 3, 1960, in the tranquil town of Two Egg, FL, to the late Monroe Wilson and Ethel Marie Hearns Scott. Jackie's zest for life and his heartwarming smile left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jackie's professional life was dedicated to his pest control business, which he ran with a remarkable combination of expertise and kindness. Beyond his business endeavors, Jackie was a man of diverse interests and unwavering community spirit. He could often be found on the water, rod in hand, enjoying the quiet thrill of fishing—a pastime that provided not just relaxation but a deep connection to the natural world he so loved. In the kitchen, Jackie's passion for cooking was an expression of his love for family and friends, with each dish crafted with his heart and creative spirit. Community service was a cornerstone of Jackie's life. Jackie's love for life was perhaps most vividly expressed on the dance floor, where his joyful spirit and nimble feet brought smiles to all who joined him. His presence was a source of light and laughter, creating memories that will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A man of many talents and immense warmth, Jackie will be profoundly missed by his friends, colleagues, and the community. He was preceded in death by parents, Roosevelt Scott Sr.; mother, Ethel Marie Hearn Scott; brother, Roosevelt Scott, Jr., and Lionel Scott; sister, Valerie Scott Cherry.
Jackie leaves to cherish his memories children, Carl Oliver, Michelle Oliver, Steffan Hearns and Brandon Hearns; special friend and ex-wife, Yvonne Platt; grandchildren, Mia Sneed, Tiana Collier, Sierra Smith and Micah Oliver; niece, Tara Scott; nephew, Roosevelt Scott III; aunts, Wilann Miller, Florita Lovett, and Shirley Wilson; uncle, Jimmy Dupont,along with a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
