Homegoing celebration for Rev. Jacob Jordan, Sr. who passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 will be held Saturday June 22, 2013 at 11a.m., Northside M.B. Church, 5706 N. 40th Street with Rev. Ricardo Robinson pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jacob Jordan was born December 3, 1931 to the late Deacon John and Daisy Jordan in Albany, GA. Rev. Jacob Jordan, Sr. served as a pastor at Northside M.B. Church for over 55 years. He enjoyed reading, mentoring other pastor's and talking with friends. He was a mason and graduated from Florida Seminary School. Rev. Jacob served as 2nd Vice President of Union Number Two of the Union Foreign Baptist Association. He would let you know daily that "God is good". He was preceded in death by parents, Deacon John Jordan and Daisy; wife, Ludie W. Jordan; brothers, Johnny and Robert Jordan; sister, Sarah Wilson; and granddaughters, Shenita Robinson-Williams and Nicole Williams. He leaves to love and cherish children, Genoma Stinson of Daytona, FL, Flossie Sallet (Algie), Minister Sarah Robinson (Charles), Jacob Jordan, Jr., Kenneth Jordan, Joyce Jordan and Lora Ann Jones; grandchildren, Latasha Slater, Huvon Coffey, Trae Cofffey (Olivia) and QuaNisha Thompson (Vernon) all of Daytona, FL, Rev. Ricardo Robinson (Casina), Charles A. Robinson, Cheryl Robinson, Crystal Robinson, Phillip Brown, Lakeshia Jordan, Jacob Jordan III, Darren Jordan, Jamel Jordan, Ieshia Jordan, Kerria Jordan, Clifton Williams(Penny), Cy' Nasia Jordan, Kenneth Jordan, Tiara Jordan, Keyron Johnson, DeMarcus Brown, Rudy Jordan, Tyrese Jordan, Ka'Marion Jordan, Tamarra Hunt( Damion), Temeka Carswell, LaToya Carswell, Erica Wilson (Richmond), Theresa Jones and Brian Jones; 59 great grandchildren; sisters, Lovie James, Daisy Gaines and Mattie Phillips; brothers, Solomon Jordan and Eddie D. Jordan; god daughters, Lysonia Blair, Delores McArthur, Samantha Freeman and Marie White; god sons, John Miller, Jr., Michael O'Neal and John Harmon and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and special friends. The visitation will be held at Northside M.B. Church, 5706 N. 40th Street from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
