Obituary

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Jacqueline Marie Cambridge answered God's call and transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home. Jacqueline was born on September 15, 1967, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Willie McMillan, Sr. and Irene McMillan Washington. She attended River Hills Christian School for her early education and later graduated from the same school. Jacqueline was known for her strong spirit, determination, and generous heart. While she was a homebody at heart, she also enjoyed venturing out to explore and discover unique treasures, especially antique cars. Those who knew Jacqueline admired her resilience, independence, and her ability to overcome life's challenges with strength. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Jacqueline was the proud and loving mother of her daughter, Jessica Cambridge, and took great pride in watching her grow into the woman she became. She shared this blessing with her former husband, Rod Cambridge. One of Jacqueline's most cherished roles was being a grandmother to her beloved grandson, Roman, who brought her endless happiness. She loved sharing stories about him and treasured every moment they spent together. Jacqueline also found comfort and companionship in caring for her beloved dog, Max, and enjoyed quiet walks and peaceful moments spent with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Lee and Willie McMillan, Sr.; parents, Willie McMillan, Sr. and Irene McMillan Washington; and aunts, Verdell Harris and Lessie Hooks.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her loving daughter, Jessica Cambridge; treasured grandson, Roman; sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Patrick Essix; brothers, Noble Copper Walthour El and Willie Renardo McMillan; nieces and nephews, Irene Jeney McMillian,  Breonna Champion, Bonitria McMillan, Willie McMillan IV, Desire McMillan and Armani McMillan; along with extended family members, coworkers, and dear friends. Jacqueline's presence, strength, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. We thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time and invite you to continue honoring Jacqueline's life by sharing memories and stories with one another. Her life is a beautiful memory, her absence a quiet sorrow, but we find comfort knowing she rests peacefully in God's eternal garden.
