A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Jacqueline Gilmore Permer of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019, will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2:00 p.m. at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, 2012 N. Tampania Street, Pastor Johnny Miller; Pastor Patricia Hauser of The Potter's House Deliverance Tabernacle, officiating. Jacqueline was born April 20, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to the late Forrest Gilmore and Maxine Hughes Smith. Jacqueline attended the local schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Blake High School, class of 1970. She worked for the Hillsborough County School Board as a paraprofessional. She was a member of The Potter's House Deliverance Tabernacle. She enjoyed shopping, worshipping the Lord and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Leroy Smith and mother, Maxine Smith; father, Forrest Gilmore; sister, Patricia Small and brothers, Forrest Gilmore, Jr., Anthony Gilmore and Patrick Smith. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Marwan Gilmore, Zain Gilmore, Yma Gilmore, Omonik Gilmore and Cetopia Miller; grandchildren, Dyamin Gilmore, India Lewis, Zain Gilmore, Jr., Asia Lewis, Markeria Lewis, Zakin Gilmore, Marwan Gilmore, Jr., Imani Gilmore, Ezekiel Gilmore, Kyndi Hernandez, Makhari Leggett and Maziah Gilmore; great grandchildren, Jah'naria Henderson, Malia Gilmore, Jovontae Henderson, Jayani Lewis, and Jerzii Henderson; brothers, Christopher Smith, Kenny Smith, and Marvin Smith; sister, Mary Archie; aunts, Elizabeth Aside, Joann Hughes and Monia Hughes; nieces, April Gilmore, Ornica Gilmore, Vendalyn Adderly, Barisha Smith Watson, Tiara Emmanuel, Simona Gant and Patricka Smith; nephews, Ronald Gilmore, Torrance Small, Marlon Joyner, Michael McQuay, Joshua Archie, Jamal Strange, Amin Gilmore and Daniel Philyor; cousins, Mary Taylor, Darsena Reynolds, Terri Todd, Thomas, Robbie and Marble Taylor; best friends, Pamela Dixon, Verdell Mickens, Pastor Patricia Hauser and Lisa Ward; special friends, Billy Permer, Anna Gibson, Gracie Johnson and Peta Morrison; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 26th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends during the visitation. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
