James L. "Catfish" Reed, Sr. was born June 24, 1946, to the late Adolphus and Edna Larry. He spent most of his time with friends and family playing dominos and riding motorcycles. When he was not hanging out, you could find "Catfish "working on automobiles of any kind. His passion for cars and motorcycles was unmeasured. It didnt matter if it was to repair, race, or just show. He also loved watching wrestling every Monday night.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Adolphus and Edna; son, James "Jamie" Reed, Jr.; granddaughter, Kierra Reed; grandmother, Mamie Reed; special cousins, LaMarcus Stillings and Eddie Stillings.

He leaves to cherish his memory; son, Rodney Reed, Sr. (Alberta); grandchildren, Lacoya Spell, Rory Reed, Kalea Reed, Isabella Reed, Rodney Reed, Jr. Tyberius Reed, Kingslin Reed, Otis Reed, and Briana Reed; great-grandchildren, Alaya Lewis, Brylon Reed, Zarela Reed, Rodney Reed, Saniyah Reed, Tyon Reed, and Tytus Reed; sisters, Deborah Smith, Marva Jackson, Cheryl Gillard (Louis); like a son, Carl Bastian; nephews, Theodrick Hicks, Wendell Jackson, Wayne Jackson (Deshun), Zeatrick Larry, Desmond Jackson, Louis Gillard, Jr.; nieces, Demetrius Hicks, Reneece Jackson, Brenishia McCray, Cheryln Gilmore (Desmond); the entire Starks Family; a host of great nieces and nephews, other cousins and friends. whom he loved dearly.
