Obituary

Mr. James T. Ebron (affectionately known as JT), was born on December 29, 1941, to the late John Ann Bullock and James Ebron.  James entered eternal rest on May 13, 2025, at the James A. Hayley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, FL. He started his Christian life as a youngster. James began his elementary education at Mother of Mercy Catholic School, and later at Snowden Elementary and Snowden High School, in Washington, NC.  After graduating High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served his country proudly. His first tour of duty was in Birmingham, Alabama, where he met and married Alice Vickers, the mother of his four beautiful children.  After a short courtship, he would later marry his beloved Mary on September 18, 1979.  From this union, he was blessed with two bonus daughters. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1980, he held several positions in the government, where he received numerous awards and accolades for his hard work and dedication.  He was employed by the Pentagon and was a survivor of the September 11th attack.  He retired from the Pentagon in 2005. In his spare time and definitely in retirement he enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and shooting the breeze with his military buddies. He loved taking care of his yard and doing odd jobs around the house.  He enjoyed traveling to visit family in North Carolina and Maryland.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 46 years Mary Ebron; his children, Sandra Ebron of Waldorf, MD, Enzie Ebron of Temple Hills, MD, James Ebron of Washington, DC, Anthony Ebron of Sanford, FL, Carlita Cochran of Waldorf, MD and Karen Proctor (Dion) of Temple Hills, MD.  He also leaves to cherish his memory, nine grandchildren, thirteen great -grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
