Homegoing services for Mr. James Fowler "Jim" of Tampa who passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 11:00 a.m., at Nassau Church of Christ, 1312 W. Nassau St., Minister Andrew Atkison, pastor with Bro. Ronnie Moorer, eulogist. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. James Fowler was born February 28, 1925 in Tampa, Florida to the late James Fowler and Andrea Valdez Fowler. He was a member of Jesus House Church. James was an electrician and worked many years for the Rockefeller family. He also was the sparring partner to Sugar Ray Robinson when he lived in New York City. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Sherman Moorer and Cernet Jeffery Moorer. He leaves to cherish his loving memories with his wife, Annie G. Fowler; children, Adrienne Jacobs (Robert Wright) and Ronnie Moorer, Sr. (Gloria); grandchildren, Sherman Moorer, Jr. Leticia Moorer (Brian) and Kishia Moorer (Bobbio); Sharie Moorer (Brunell), April Speights (Desmond), Darielle, Cariette and Carlette Moorer, Nikki Jackson, Ronnie, Jr., Amy and Vanessa Moorer; aunt Rosa of California; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins including, Johnny and Lacy Campbell of Tampa and Altamese Banks of New York; and other sorrowing relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 7th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
