Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James Hardy, Sr. of Tampa who departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E Lake Av, Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor with Bishop Anthony Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hardy was born in Eufaula, Alabama on October 10, 1951 to P.W. and Bernice Hardy, they later moved to Tampa, Florida. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County and was a 1968 graduate of Middleton Senior High School. He was currently employed by I.L.A. local 1402. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his father P.W. Hardy, mother, Bernice Hardy and brother, C.W. Hardy. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving and devoted fiancAC., Marcia Bacon and daughter, Ashaunti Gilbert; children, James Hardy, Jr. (Dena), Reshey Hardy (Whitney), Antonio Hardy, Tatika Hardy and Michael Pedroso (Latesa); brothers, Lensy Hardy (Delores), Paul Hardy and Holton Buggs; sister, Paula Hardy; grandchildren, Justin Evans, Jakobi Hardy, Jakiah Hardy, Jaylin Hardy, Jamier Hardy, Kashawn Hardy, Cornecia Hardy, Jeremiah Pedroso, Breasia Pedroso and Mykera Pedroso; aunts, Mattie Sue Tellis, Zennie Mae Denton of New York and Scottie Bonds of New York; uncles, Quincy Culver (Sallie) of Daytona Beach, Leander Culver (Amelus) of Atlanta, GA and Bobby Culver of New York; nieces, Mecia, Paulinda, Dontez, Paul, Jr., Lensey, Jr., Josie and Rosie Hardy; and a host of other nieces, nephews,and friends; including special friends, Eddie Session, Norman Wadell, Hugh Overton, Joe Bell, Kenny Gunn, Leon Chandler, Ira Williams, Jewel Singleton and Josephine Morrison. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Tuesday, January 14th from 4-7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday for the service.
