Homegoing services for Mr. James Mingo, Jr. of Tampa who passed away, Saturday, July 19, 2014, will be held Saturday, August 2nd, 2:00 p.m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Rev. Ricardo Robinson, pastor officiating. James was born August 23, 1973 in Tampa, Florida. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. James enjoyed singing, dancing and watching football. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adell Mingo, Sr. and Marie Mingo, uncles, Arthur McGett and Russell Mingo, aunt Hattie McGett and fiancAC.e, Yolanda Archie. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with children, Montae, Sr., Jamesha, Jarod, James III, Jayheim, Tommaisa and Derick Mingo; grandchildren, Montae, Jr., Jamyia, Vontae, Kemori, Derrick, Jr. and Dreoirus Mingo; parents, James Mingo, Sr. (Wanda) and Emma Walton (Carlton); brothers, Victor McGett (Joann) and Reginald Givens (April); sisters, Patricia Green (Murphy), Latisa McGett, Hattie McGett, Monique Smith, Deborah Dooley, Shareka Dooley and Alicia Garland (Darylle); aunts, Betty Smiley (Willie), Mary Engram, Rosemary Anderson (James), Rudy Mingo, Bertha Mae Russell (Karl, Sr.) and Lillie Mingo (Joe); uncles, Odell Mingo (Teresa), Willie Mingo (Casanthia), Goldie Mingo (Deborah), Willie Mingo (Cherry), Adell Mingo (Carolyn), Andrew Mingo and Arthur McGett, Jr.; 13 nieces; 7 nephews; family friends, Reginald Mungin (Sunya) and Leon Jackson (Elizabeth) and Antonio Powell. The visitation will be held at Grace Mary M.B. Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Friday, August 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at Northside M.B. Church for the service on Saturday.
