Homegoing services for Mr. James Calvin Olds who passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011, will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul Holiness Church, 2520 4th Street NE, Winter Haven, Bishop James Cochran officiating. James Calvin Olds was born on August 24, 1942 in Yulee, Florida. He was a member of St. Paul Holiness Church. James loved bowling and going to church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Olds, Sr. and Mary Loraine Olds and brother, Henry Olds. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Johnnie Mae Olds; nine children, Eric Olds and Rodney Olds, both of Miami, FL, James Christopher Olds (Nyx) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Spencer C. Leonard, St. Petersburg, FL, Donna Verbal of Fernandina Beach, FL, Karen Bolden (George) of St. Petersburg, FL, Anthony Brown of Lakeland, Clarence Leonard, Jr. (Alfreda) of South Carolina, and Randall Bruce Leonard (Tonya) of Lakeland, FL; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard Olds of Fernandina Beach, FL and Aaron Olds, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; 3 sisters, Darlene Olds of Orange Park, FL, Linda Olds of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Arcilla Rentz of Lake City, FL; three aunts, Thelma Olds Starling of Jacksonville, FL, Luvella Olds of Sebring, FL, and Mamie Coleman of Fernandina Beach, FL; special cousin, Eugene Coleman, Sr. of Fernandina Beach, FL and special friends, James Davis and Larry Dervin both of Miami, FL, Bishop and Mother Cochran and the St. Paul Holiness Church family; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at St. Paul Holiness Church on Friday, January 21st from 3:30-4 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
