Homegoing services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Perry, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013, will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., with Apostle Thomas Hadden, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. James Perry, Jr. was born on May 19, 1919 in Winston, NC. He was a member of People for Christ Ministries. He accepted Christ at an early age. James was a sponge diver in Tarpon Springs, FL for years, after moving to Tampa he worked for City of Tampa. He enjoyed beating spoons to the sound of music. He was full of life and energy. He loved talking and telling jokes, laughter filled his heart. Also he helped people anyway he could. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bubba Perry and Sarah Brown; daughter, Sarah Perry; son, Jimmy Lee Perry and grandson, Donald. He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife, Mildred Perry; children, Rene Williams (Howard), Thelma C.
