A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James 'JJ' Ross, Jr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday June 21, 2021 will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 1:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Pastor Willie Richardson, officiating.

James 'JJ' Ross, Jr. was born May 18, 1952 in Tampa, Florida to the late James, Sr. and Lula Mae Simon-Ross. He liked to listen to music, ride his moped, spend time with his family. He loved playing dominoes and cards. He also enjoyed traveling to Michigan. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Julie Symons; parents, James, Sr. and Lula Mae Simon-Ross; grandparents, George and Essie Mae Green; sisters, Sonya Jane Ross and Patricia Ann Simon; uncle, David Simon; sister-in-law, Tina Marie Ross; brother-in-law, Alfred Hicks, Sr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Sade Davis, Lisa Way, Michael Skaggs, Travis Skaggs, Latoya Newton; a host of many others; grandchildren, Sha'vonnie Davis, Giovanni Davis-Lester, Zoey Davis, Bryan White Jr, Omar White, Jody White and Ishmael White, a host of other grandkids; great-grandchildren, Bella, Cora, Ezra and Ella; brothers, Derrick Ross, Randolph Ross, Glennard Ross and Arthur Lee Ross; aunt, Lousie Ann Mitchell of Tampa, Florida; nieces, Jeannette Hicks (Artis), Chantika Ross, Angela Ross and Michelle Ross; nephews, Andre Ross, Anthony Ross, Antonio Ross, David James Harrell and Jeffrey York and great-nephew, Jarvis Robinson; a host of cousins and other sorrowing relatives HE WILL BE MISSED DEARLY!!!

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
