Obituary

James Waldo Triplett, Jr., was born on May 6, 1958, to James Waldo Triplett, Sr., and Gennie Bell Tucker. James had a deep love for writing songs and poetry, a passion that earned him his cherished nickname "Sir James The Poet". He also enjoyed watching football, cheering for his favorite teams, Ohio State and the Las Vegas Raiders. One of his greatest pleasures was sitting on the back porch, listening to southern soul and blues music. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Waldo Triplett; mother, Gennie Bell Tucker; grandmother, Ollie Mae Rutledge; aunts, Edwina Graham, Jessie Lee Womack, and Vivian Triplett; uncle, Josh Womack; nephew, Artrayal Brown; and niece, Wynella Williams.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted soulmate of 21 years, Karen Chambers; daughter, KaTory Chambers; granddaughter, Delaijah Kinsey; grandson, Donnell Patrick, Jr.; brothers, Alfred Brown III (Andrea), Thomas Allen, Jr., Delano Gadis, Jr., Keith Gadis (Yaisa), and Larry Gadis, Sr.; sisters, Pianese Williams, Clara Robinson (Michael), Shelia Young (Sheppard), Tonya Taylor (Eugene, Sr.), Julia Gadis-George (Lande), and Lateshia Gadis-Brookins (Ronnie); aunts, Shirley Triplett and Janette Gant; uncle, Preston Triplett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for poetry and music will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May his memory bring comfort to his loved ones.
