Homegoing services for Mr. James J. White (JW) who passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 will be held Saturday, February 26th, 11:00 a.m., at New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, with Rev. Dr. Walter J. Williams, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. White was born on August 18, 1951 to the late Mr. Arthur White, Sr. and Mary White in Vienna, Georgia. He was a resident of Tampa for over 50 years and was a graduate of Middleton High School Class of 1970. He worked at Tampa Plumbing Supply Company for 15 years as Counter Salesman. He was the owner of To Clean Mobile Detailing Company and retired in 2008. He fought a hard battle against a lengthy illness and was called home to be with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his father Deacon, Arthur White, Sr., and brother, Arthur White, Jr. and sister, Linda Mckinzie. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, of 35 years, Linda I. White; son, James White, Jr., and Jody Gus White; daughter, Ashley E. White, mother, Mary Emma White; brothers, Jimmy White (Annie), Pastor Donald White (Marie), Pastor Larry White (Vivian) of Pahokee, Florida and Lawrence White (Vivian); aunts, Lois Brown and Wynette Jordan of Cordele, Georgia; uncles, James B.Carter, James Dawson (Carol) of Oakland, California and Wallace Leon Carter; great uncle, L.W. Dawson of Jacksonville, FL, sisters-in-law, Rhonda Roby, Regina Gooddine, Rosa Gooddine, special devoted niece, Zellwana White and; devoted cousin, Ruth Jones (John); special devoted friend, Jimmie Bulmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m., on Friday, February 25, 2011. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Church at 10:45 a.m. for the service.
