James David Wright, affectionately known as "JD" to his loved ones, and "Wolf Man" by his friends, was born on November 9, 1926, in Bealsville, FL, to the late Arthur and Ida Thompson Wright. He accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He married Mary Frances Breedlove and had one son, Alphonso Wright. James attended high school and electrical tech school in Hillsborough County, Florida. He was a World War II Veteran and proudly served his country in the Navy and Army. He worked at JC Penney as a supervisor, Carolina Freight as a dispatcher, and a supervisor with West Tampa Housing Authority.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Wright, Sr. and Ida Wright Adams; wife, Mary Frances Wright; brothers and sisters, Arthur Wright, Henry Wright, Lenora Montana, Johnnie Bing, Charles Bing, Bernice Robinson and Nathaniel Adams.

He leaves family and friends to cherish wonderful and precious memories—loving son, Alphonso Wright (Annette); grandchildren, Pamela Wright and Sheila Wright; great-granddaughter, Hannah Wright; sisters, Carrie B. Hoffman, Dr. Elva M.
