Mother Janet Stroman Quattlebaum was born March 21, 1936 in Springfield, South Carolina to the late Howard Stroman Sr. and Martha Jones Stroman.

She was joined in Matrimony to the late Donald Quattlebaum Sr. They were blessed with 5 children of whom 2 are deceased. Mother Janet was educated in the Orangeburg County, South Carolina Schools. During those years, she was a great basketball player.

Mother Janet relocated to Tampa, Florida in 1961. Upon her arrival, she attended First Baptist Church of College Hill. Later, she joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. C.P. Epps; continued under Reverend Michael White. Mother Janet attended church until her illness. She began to watch live stream worship service every Sunday with St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Palmetto, Florida, under the leadership of Reverend Ron Shipp. Although, she was not able to attend Mt. Olive M.B. Church, Tampa, she continued to be faithful to her church. Mother Janets desire was to see that everyone was saved. She loved her family. She was affectionately known as, Grandma Jenny, Queen "Bee", Big "Q", Mama "Q", and everybodys Grand-Mama.

Mother Janets prior employment entailed; Various Housekeeping assignments, Morrisons Food Service at the University of South Florida, University Community Hospital-Dietary Supervisor, and Morrison/Piccadilly-part time, at another location. Her work experience expanded over 60+ years.

Mother Janet was preceded in death by Donald Quattlebaum Sr., sons, Donald Quattlebaum Jr., and baby Roy, Bothers, Howard Stroman Jr., Herbert Stroman, John (Lott) Stroman, James (Buck) Stroman, Henry Stroman, and one sister, Malinda Walker.

Mother Janet leaves to cherish precious memories of her children, Dr. Lena Shipp, (Reverend Ron), Patricia Garvin, (Lit)-Springfield, SC, Robert Quattlebaum-Tampa, Adopted Son, Michael Neal, (Belinda)-Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren, Darlene York, Latisha Miller, (Hollis)-Bryantown, MD, Contrilla York-Tampa, Ricky Shipp-Tampa, Christopher Shipp, (Katurah)-Tampa, Keon Washington, Gastonia, NC; host of Great, and Great, great grandchildren, Sisters, Martha Holland-Tampa, Dorothy Belle, Killeen Texas, Brother, Larry Stroman-Georgetown, GA; host of Nephews, and Nieces, Cousins, and a multitude of Special friends and family. A few are noted: Amy Walker Jackson, Johnnie Kelley, and family, Flossie Sallet, (Al), Pastor Faye Nelson, Myra Newman, (Herb), George Donnell, Neighbor, and Florida State Representative, Honorable Dianne Hart, (Niece).
