Janice T. Wiggins was born on August 13, 1940 in Chanute, Kansas to Jay Tee Johnson and Maxine Johnson. She attended Neosho, County public schools and accepted Christ as a young child at New Hope Baptist Church in Chanute, Kansas. Janice was an avid reader and was an accomplished antique dealer. She attended college in Pittsburgh, Kansas, pledged Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and graduated from the University of Tampa. She was a retired United States Government employee after 32 years of service where she worked at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and ended her career at MacDill Airforce base. She was a long-time member of Allen Temple AME Church, and at the time of passing she was a member of Hope City Church (former Revolutionary Church) in Land O 'Lakes, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Tee and Maxine Johnson; son, Jay Christopher Lewis (Chris); and granddaughter, Nyla Foster.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted and loving husband, Frederick Wiggins; son, Joseph Wiggins (Miryam); daughter, Nicole Gilley (Scott); grandchildren, Jay C. Lewis II, Jonathan X. Lewis, Jeremy A. Lewis, Jacob C. Wiggins, Jordon S. Gilley, Sofia Wiggins, and Lauren Williams (Malik) of Orlando; great-grandchildren, Dekan A. Lewis, A'vah M. Lewis, Josiah M. Williams and Camryn A. Williams; brother, Richard F. Johnson (Sylvia) of Tucson, AZ; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Although she will be greatly missed, she was too well-loved to ever be forgotten.
