Mrs. Jaquetta Latrese Mathis was born on April 27, 1980 to the late James Richard Mathis, Sr. and Loretta Malone in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. Jaquetta enjoyed kayaking, snowboarding, traveling and was a published poet. She was preceded in death by her father, James Richard Mathis, Sr.; grandparents, Robert and Mary Mathis, Sr., and Sam Malone, Sr., and uncles, David, Cornell, Donny and Billy.
