Mrs. Jaquetta Latrese Mathis was born on April 27, 1980 to the late James Richard Mathis, Sr. and Loretta Malone in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of Greater King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. Jaquetta enjoyed kayaking, snowboarding, traveling and was a published poet. She was preceded in death by her father, James Richard Mathis, Sr.; grandparents, Robert and Mary Mathis, Sr., and Sam Malone, Sr., and uncles, David, Cornell, Donny and Billy. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving wife, Ebony Mitchell-Mathis; fur baby, Bam Bam; mother, Loretta Mathis-Randle (Isiah); grandmother, Vernell Malone; mother-in-law, Joyce Mitchell; brothers, James Richard Mathis, Jr. (Tarita), Christopher, Michael, John and David Mathis; brother-in-law, Andre Harrell (Ashley); sisters, Richetta Denise Samuel (Demarco), Leah, Christina, Destiny, Desiree and LaSheena; aunts, Marilyn Hobson, Yvonne Mathis, Sandy Johnson and Karen Malone, of Detroit, MI, Celeste Malone, Debra Scheinder and Gilda Bruton of Tampa, FL, Paula Smith of Milwaukee, WI and Veatrice Avery; uncles, Larry, Cornelius, Clayton and Luther Malone, Randy, Robert, Marcus, Kelvin and Kerry Mathis and Lenoris Avery (Sylvia) of Norfolk, VA; nieces, Essarah, Essance, Elyssia, Jazmine, Jade, Tamia and Eriss; nephews, James III, Jalen, Jordan, Amir and Christopher, Jr.; best friend, Porsha Hancock; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
