Homegoing celebration for Mr. Jason Leon Allen, Sr. of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 1:00 pm at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with Rev. Cornelius Pate, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Jason was born on March 31, 1976 in Tampa, Florida. He was studying to become a Jehovah Witness. Jason loved playing basketball and wrestling. He also loved to party with family and friends. Jason attended Hillsborough County Schools. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Genora Johnson; aunts, Genora Monroe and Massey Allen; brothers, Tylow Johnson, Keith Allen and Timothy Monroe and god brother, Ray Peterson. He leaves to cherish his memories with children, Brittany St. Fleur, Jashonna Allen, Jason Allen, Jr., Keyonna Allen and Jamarkes Allen; grandchildren, Nila Hicks and Charisma St. Fleur ; parents, James Lawrence and Linda Thomas; brothers, Ricky Allen, Sr. (Leslie), Kevin Allen (Jennifer), Antonio Monroe, Willie George Lawrence, Stanley Lawrence, and Anthony James Lawrence; sisters, Wanda Baker (Herbert), Jaqueline Lawrence and Sonya Lawrence; aunts, Emma Johnson, Julia Pate (AL), Levonne Nicholas (Jimmie Lee) and Beverly Hockenberry (Donald); uncles, Charles Rainge (Betty) and Ben Pate (Gloria); god father, Vornice Spires; god brothers, Ellister Brock, James Spires, Cedric Gay; god sister, Mia Greene and god daughter, Piggy; and a host of other relatives and special friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 3rd, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
