Jay Lamar McBride, 67, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on March 25, 2024, in Dunedin, FL. He was born on August 10, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA. Jay was a kind-hearted man who adored his family. He found joy in watching football and basketball, playing chess, reading, and drawing. Jay attended Bartram High School in Philadelphia, PA., and later served in the U.S. Army for one year, receiving an honorable discharge. Throughout his career, Jay worked at the Frankfort Chocolate Factory in Philadelphia, PA. Jay worshiped at the New Testament Church in Thonotosassa, FL.

Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Mae McBride, and his sister, Dorthea McBride.

He is survived by his father, William McBride, Jr., of Dunedin, FL., and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. The memorial service will be held in June of this year, information will be provided at a later date. Donations to the family for services are greatly appreciated
