A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. JC Horton of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 10:00 a.m. at The Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Pastor Mark T. Jones; Pastor Rodney Norton, officiating.

JC Horton was born July 2, 1959 to the late Cornelius and Arrie Horton in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his siblings Arthur Lee Myricks and Robert Earl Horton; mother-in-law, Mary Allene Carroll. He attended Doc Kemp High School in Johnson County. After High School he relocated in 1978 to Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed riding listening to old time music and watching television. He was employed many years with Dollar Car Rental and Hertz Car Rental where he took pride in his job. He met the love of his life Linda Horton and had 22 years of holy matrimony.

He leaves to mourn wife, Linda Horton; sisters, Shirley (Tony) Copeland of Tampa, Florida, Annie Johnson and Jeanette Knight of Wrightsville, Georgia; brother, Cornelius Horton, Jr. of Wrightsville, Georgia; father-in-law, Joe Carroll of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, Angele McCloud; a host of nieces, nephews that he loved dearly and showed them with forehead kisses all the time. He has 2 devoted godchildren, Kaden Brown and Kamea Lawton of Tampa, Florida; a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
