Homegoing services for Mr. Jesse Anderson of 3205 N. 44th Street, who passed away, Saturday July 10, 2010, will be held Saturday, July 17th, 11:00 a.m., Highland Avenue Church of Christ, 2800 N. Highland Avenue, with Pastor Darryl Beasley, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Anderson was born on January 7, 1943 in Perry, Georgia. He enjoyed car racing and baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judson and Flora Mae Anderson. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Erma Anderson; children, Stevie Mack and Jesse Anderson, Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley Anderson and Rantevia Singleton; brothers, Arthur Lee Anderson and wife, Sandra, Richard Lee Anderson, Leon Lee Anderson, Nathaniel Anderson and Robert Lee Anderson; sister, Carolyn Anderson Black; nieces, Alberta Bastian, Brenda Reed, Sonia Anderson, Flora Mae Jordan, Tracy Anderson and Ianita Anderson; nephews, Roger Anderson, Johnny Jordan, Jr., Jerome Anderson, Arthur Anderson, Jr., and Judson Anderson, Richard Anderson, Jr., Anthony Anderson and Alton Gaines; brother-in-law, Roy Bastian; special friends, William Harris; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 16th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church by 10:45 a.m.
