A Graveside Celebration for Mr. Jessie L. Davis of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 will be held Saturday, September 19th, 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery, 4215 E. Hanna Ave., Min. Jacqueline Leeks, officiating. The interment will follow.
On September 11, 2020 Mr. Jessie L. Davis departed this life to enter his Eternal Rest. He was born May 13, 1951 in Plant City, Florida Night Station to the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin and Ruby Davis, Sr. He was the second oldest of his siblings.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 27 years, Mrs. Yvonne Louise Davis, both parents and his brother, Melvin Davis, Jr. He is a product of the Hillsborough County School System. He was later employed with IMC Rainbow Division in Mulberry, Florida for 30 years. When his health permitted, Jessie passionately loved working on cars and with just as much passion, he lovingly enjoyed his family.
To cherish his memories he leaves fourdaughters, Ashaquay Davis, of Tampa, Florida, Patricia Davis (Terrance) of Lakeland, Florida, Quadeline Myers (Reginald) and Rhodda Dorsey (Marlon) both of Tampa, Florida; twosons, Jeffrey Woods Oates, Jr. (Shakina) and Nathaniel Woods (Tushae) both of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Joel Davis (Anita) of Thomasville, Georgia, Williams Davis (Sonya) of Tampa, Florida, Leroy Davis of Kissimmee, Florida, Willie Davis (Magdaline) and Joe Davis both of Plant City, Florida; sisters, Juliette Shield of Leesburg, Florida, Shirley Hart (Elem), Vera Hugee and Rosemary Davis all of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Marquay, Will III, Keyshawn, Terion, Terrance II, Marquita (Cedric), Robert (Alesha), Reginald, Cratiana, Isaiah, Marlon, Madison, Marcellous, Marqueese, Marshanna, Shantera, Markeisha, Jalissa, Antonio, Destiny, Dinyla, Javon, London, Zarla and Johnathan Wilson and over 30 years plus great grand a host of nieces, nephews, sorrowing relatives and friends; acknowledging his special friend Ms. Patricia Lee and adopted daughter, Min. A. Faye Wingo. A 'Special' heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Hudson Manor ALF; Aiesha Owens, India Jones, LaKay Hayes, Tangela Overstreet, Lashonda Gaines, Bionca Williams, Luvernia Edge and Charnae Webb. Thank you for the exceptionally great care you gave our Dad, for how you loved him as your own and for the many smiles you put on his face, we will forever remember your love and compassion.
The visitation will be held at the gravesideon Saturday September 19thfrom 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Saturday for the service.
