Graveside service for Mr. Jessie H. James of Riverview, Florida (formely of Northview Hills) who passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 will be held Thursday, September 17th, 12:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. The interment will follow. Jessie was born October 16, 1941 to the late Joseph James and Bessie Brinson-James in Valdosta, GA. He was an ordained deacon in the Pentecostal Church of God, Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his, father, Joseph James; brothers, Frank James, Willie C. James and Elijah James. Elder James leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of 48 years, Rutha; 10 children from the oldest to the youngest, Charisse (Frank) Oliver of Carrollwood, Jeffery (Lisa) of Apollo Beach, Jerrold (Zanice) of Atlanta, Patrece Reese (Chadwick) of Savannah, Shandrece (Willie) of Winter Haven, Jerome of Ft. Lauderdale; Jason of Tampa, Deniece Paige (Shay) of Tampa, Justin (Elizabeth) of Sarasota, Alysse Swiney (Joseph) of Atlanta; other family members to cherish his memory is his mother, Bessie James of Waycross, Georgia; brother, Phillip (Gwen) of Savannah, Georgia; sisters, Sylvia Johnson (Joseph) of Waycross and Schneshia "Ann" of Waycross; sister-in-law, Clara Cobb (Jimmy) of Tampa and Raymond White and wife of Ocala, Florida; 25 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, and the entire body of the Pentecostal Church of God. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Thursday for the service.
