Jettie Wilson, Jr. was born on June 30, 1931, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Jettie Wilson, Sr. and Beatrice Wilson. He was a lifelong resident of Tampa and a proud member of the community he served. Jettie was known for his warm and outgoing personality. Friendly and loving by nature, he never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome. He truly enjoyed dancing and socializing, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.

Above all, Jettie cherished time spent with his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment shared with them. He retired from the City of Tampa after years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jettie Wilson, Sr. and Beatrice Wilson; sons, Jackie Wilson, Curtis Wilson and Rudolph Jettie Wilson, Fr.; daughters, Gloria Johnson and Tambra Wilson; granddaughter, Shantell Wilson; and brothers, Cleveland Wilson, Harry Wilson, Rudolph Wilson; sisters, Beatrice Gainious, Dorthy Thomas and Edith Wilson.

He leaves cherished memories to his sons, Ruzzito Wilson (Tampa, FL) and Jerry Wilson (Tampa, FL); daughters, Jennifer Wilson (Tampa, FL), Karen Wilson (Ruskin, FL), Sophia Nelson (Tampa, FL) and Jacquelyn Williams (Tampa, FL); grandchildren, Natalie, and Keisha; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jettie's legacy of kindness, love, and vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
