Jewell J. Fye was born on May 4th, 1960, in Pensacola, FL, to Eddie Lee Wylie and Earl Jordan, Jr. She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL, where she met the love of her life, Reggie Fye in 1979. They wed in the summer of 1984, and together embraced the joy of raising a son, and later welcomed three beautiful daughters. She had a passion for education and dedicated her life towards the next generation, from early childhood to high school grade level. She began working at Wiregrass Ranch High School in 2009 as an IA, becoming a beloved and known member within the community.

She devoted her time towards coaching the Girls' Tennis Team for ten years, supervised a variety of clubs, and inspired all students inside and outside of the classroom. In her final years she continued to share wisdom and kindness to the upcoming generation of scholars, spreading Rattler pride as she assisted students into starting their journey at FAMU. She had a deep love for her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as a Life Member and Silver Star. She actively served within the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter alongside her three legacies until her final days. Jewell enjoyed baking delicious treats for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, watching tennis, football, and tv shows with family. Every Sunday, she enjoyed watching Sunday Service online at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church (Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks), where she was a member. She leaves a message of keeping God first, and continuing to love one another.

Jewell was preceded in death by her father, Earl Jordan Jr.; mother, Eddie Lee Wylie; brothers, Jerome Jerralds, and Schasey Jordan. She leaves cherished memories to her loving husband, Reggie Fye; children, son, Jeff Fye (Tiffanie), daughters, Regyne Fye Wiggins, (Johndale), Jordanyne Fye, and Andreyne Fye; a host of bonus grandchildren, 2 bonus great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael Jerralds (Sharon), Reginald Jerralds (Doris), Earl Jordan III (Sabrina), Kenneth Brown (Vickie), Eric Jordan, Michael Jordan; sisters, Patricia Taubodo (Ernest), Eunice Jerralds (Denise); aunts, Annie Jewell Stewart, Annie Ruth Porter; uncle, Freddie Davis (Diane); in-laws, Rosene Fye Farris, Anthony Fye (Delores), Pauline Gray; special friends, Cornita Alston, Pamela Cole-Green, Vernessa Cribbs, Elaine Turner, Kimberly Young; Wiregrass Ranch High School Faculty/ IA Team; her linesisters, "The Niner's", and all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Delta Iota Omega and Gamma Theta Omega).
