A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Jim Harrison Simmons Sr., who passed away on January 18, 2022, will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2:00 p.m., Rest Haven Memorial, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Rabbi Kenneth C. Griffin, officiating. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Jim was born on March 16, 1948, in Bradford, Florida, to William and Alma Simmons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Simmons; father, William Simmons; and daughters, Felicia Boyer, and Shondra Simmons. He leaves precious memories with his wife, Alva Simmons; children, Shondra, Jim Jr., Felicia, Veranique, Jamie, Delta, and Davette; brothers, Willie, Alvin, and Vincent; sisters, Shirley, Barbara, Linda, Carol, and Ronda; 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside on Thursday for the service. The repast will immediately follow the burial. We are following CDC guidelines.
