Mr. Jimmie "James" Ransom, affectionately known as "Jimbo", was born on October 25, 1951, in Odessa, Florida, to Peter and Carrie Bell Ellis-Ransom. Known for his humor, friendliness, and remarkable handiness, Jimbo brought joy and warmth to everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George Leroy Stroud, Sr., Ephriam Ransom, Sr., and Cleave Ransom; and sister, Pauline Marie Hall.

He leaves cherished memories to his sons, Julian Tucker (Jaime) of Springdale, Arkansas, James Ransom of Tallahassee, Florida, and Michael Gilbert of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his brother, Alpha Peter Ransom (Juanita) of Miami, Florida; sisters, Beta Louise Ransom of Tampa, Florida, Sophia Ann Kelly (Al) of Land O' Lakes, Florida, and Omega Carolyn Ransom-Johnson (Arnold) of Miami, Florida. He is lovingly remembered by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews across Arkansas, Tallahassee, and Pennsylvania. Jimmie Ransom will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
