A homegoing celebration for Mr. Jimmy Thornton of Summerfield, Florida, who passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 will be held Saturday, August 20th,2:00 p.m.,at Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 10040 Joe Ebert Rd, Seffner, FL 33584, Elder Leroy Turner, Jr. pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Mayberry Cemetery Seffner, FL. Jimmy was born January 14, 1964 in Brooklyn, Georgia. Jimmy enjoyed playing dominoes and shooting pool. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Harvey; sister, Lillie Thornton; aunt, Mable Barrett and uncle, Willie J. Thornton. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his mother, Mattie E. Hankerson; adopted son, Rubin Rutlegde; sister, Tammy Hankerson; brother, George E. Claritt, Jr.; aunts, Mary Walton (Michael), Lillie Harris, Bernice Thornton, Yvette Thornton, Gail L. Beauford and Doris Thornton; uncles, Eddie J. Thornton (Benita), Eric Thornton, Lord Barrett, Rubin Harris; great-uncle, Abbie Harris (Willie Mae); great-aunts, Bernice Brooks, Willie L Chester, Sadie Easterling and Mary Harris nieces, Shawntae Thornton, Staroctavia Coolidge (Leonard), Serena Partin, Sashla Thornton-Seay, Sassy Thornton-Seay, Shanita and Shavite Claritt;; great-grand nieces and nephews, Anistacio, Anistacia and Charlee'Vicio Claritt, Lentrevis Cooligde, Wathson Adelson Jr, Zyriea and Zemetrick Larry, Anthony Partin Jr., Aaliyah and Lillyonie Thornton, Janaye Thornton, Jockevion Newsome and Nykyh Thornton; cousin, Melvin Thornton; a very special friend, Cici; and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
