Joan Legendre, born on October 26, 1938, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, passed away leaving a legacy of love, gentleness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Joan was the beloved daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma Wilford and was preceded in death by her brother, Felix Wilford; and daughter, Carol Mohammed. A devoted mother and grandmother.

Joan leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Candy Fournillier (Franklyn). She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Nicholas Mohammed, Jonathan Fournillier, and Simone Fournillier, and her great-granddaughter. She also leaves behind her brothers, Michael Wilford and Tony Wilford; as well as dear friends Sylvester Mack, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes, and Mr. and Mrs. Chin Choy, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Joan dedicated her life to caring for her family. As a housewife and stay-at-home mother, she found joy and purpose in creating a warm, nurturing home. She especially loved cooking traditional Trinidadian dishes, sharing her heritage through every carefully prepared meal. Her compassion extended far beyond her own home. Joan volunteered at a facility for children with disabilities, where she faithfully massaged their limbs, fed them, and provided gentle companionship each day. Her quiet nature, kind spirit, and tender hands brought comfort to many. Joan will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend—soft-spoken, loving, and deeply devoted to those she cared for. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
