Joanne Mack was born on March 5, 1948, in Ashburn, Georgia, to George and Janie Mack. Joanne was a caring person, which is what made her such a great teacher. She worked and retired from Clair Mel Elementary school. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her husband. Joanne was active as well, dancing and going for walks outside. She also enjoyed watching soap operas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Mack, and her mother, Janie Mack; brothers, David Edwards and Randy Edwards; and sisters, Betty Jean Smith, Barbara Smith, and Pamela Boggs.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband, James Cole; children, Malcolm, Janice, Sandra and Benjamin Mack (Jasmine), Tiashauna Curry, Sherry Wigfall, Frank Mack (Gilda Joyce), Jasmine Wordly (Lorrin); grandchildren, Jerel (Nakia), Marquetta (Cory), Jekita, James O'Neil Mack, Robert (Deborah), Derel (Alexis), Franklin, Raquan (Tina), Jordan, Aaliyah, Zaniya (Cole), Sariyah, Elijah, Trashawn, Mariah, Mya, Messiah, Neamiah, Janae, Amiyah, Sayraiha Smith, and Denali; great-grandchildren, Iayonna, Eriuna, Za'Breia, Kimora, Janasia, Ismael, Cyncere, Jekia, Maurice, Makayla, Jada, Leilani, Ava, Aveon, Raeden, Jason, Deron, Jaxson, and Malia; brothers, Eddie Mack, Charles Edwards, Willie Edwards (Marva), Ricky Edwards (Angela), Larry Edwards (Tomeka); aunt, Sylvia Bateman (Tommy); nieces, Tracy Apata, along with a host of others; as well as a host of nephews, cousins and many other friends and family.
