The interment will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Joe wasborn on April 27, 1948, in Tampa, FL to Joe Cherry, Sr. and Sadie Bell Cherry.Throughout Joe's life, he provided hospitality services in hospitals and department stores, meatpacking, a handy man for his brothers, and as building and maintenance at CrealFuneral Homes in St. Petersburg, FL alongside his nephew Leon Thomas III. Joe enjoyedbicycling, playing pool, dressing up wearing the finest suits and hats, and he lovedhanging out with his friends. Joe had a loving and kind heart and always wanted to helpothers. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Cherry,Sr. and Sadie Bell Cherry; grandmother, Sophie Jackson; brothers, Colen CharlesThomas, Sr., Leon Major Thomas, Sr.; nephews, Colen Charles Thomas, Jr., Leon Major Thomas III and Colen Demetrius Thomas; niece, Angela Thomas-Gunn; and specialfriend, Louise Mobley.
