Mr. Joe Louis Madison was born on April 18, 1942, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to the late John Madison and Mary Lee Walker Madison. At an early age, Joe accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, laying the foundation for a life guided by faith, perseverance, and love for his family. Growing up in Swainsboro, Joe developed a strong work ethic while working at Jack Bishop General Store. As a young man, he later relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he began a successful career in the construction industry. He dedicated more than 20 years of faithful service to J&R Roofing Company, where his leadership, skill, and commitment earned him the position of Construction Foreman before his well-deserved retirement.

Outside of work, Joe found his greatest joys in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending peaceful days fishing, firing up the grill to barbecue for family and friends, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. Known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to his family, Joe touched countless lives through his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence. 

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John Madison and Mary Lee Walker Madison; eight brothers; three sisters; his daughter, Janice Evans; the mother of his children, Carline Evans; and his granddaughter, Brittany Mills. 

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving children from Tampa, Tonya Madison, Marshanna Madison, Arnita Mills (Madison), Terry Evans, Edward Evans of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Cheryl Evans of Tennessee; stepchildren, Sherrell Carswell and Dee-Dee Carswell; the mothers of his children, Bernette Rodgers and Chinnell Handford; sister, Mercie Mae Madison; brothers, Willie H. Madison, John Madison, Jr., and Jimmy Madison; grandchildren, Willie Jenkins, Jr., A'lyriah Jenkins, Robert Robinson, Jr., Gabriel Mills, Prisca Mills and Jamarion Seays; devoted friend, Joyce Daniels; along with a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure his memory. Joe Louis Madison lived a life marked by hard work, resilience, faith, and unconditional love. Though he will be deeply missed, the legacy of his kindness, wisdom, and enduring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.
