Obituary

He was born to Amy "Louise" Bradford and Albert Bacon Sr., July 24, 1929, in Jacksonville, Florida. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for 20 years as an Airplane Machinist. John held other jobs after retiring from the military, just to keep busy. But his favorite by far was Kim's Nursery and Landscape where he gained a brother, Lee Te Kim. John was indeed a family man. He always put family first. John was blessed with a loving family and a number of adoptive family members and friends, such as his neighbors in Thonotosassa, whom he loved and cherished. John was a lover of the land. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for fishing. You could find him in the orange groves, helping a friend, or outside cutting his acres on his riding mower. He was always on the move. John was proceeded in death by his mother Amy "Louise" Bradford, Father: Albert Bacon Sr. Grandmother: Mary Annie Bradford; son, Michael Bacon Sisters: Marian Lenora Galvin Marshall, Evelyn Flynn, Joan Green;,brothers, Albert Bacon, Jr., and Alvie Bacon Sister-in-Law: Evelyn Louise Rouse Warren; brother-in-Laws: Charles Gomez and William Puerto. He leaves to mourn his devoted children: Orlando Bacon, Sr., Yolanda Bacon, Denise White, (Andre), Charles Bacon (Melissa), John Bacon, Jr., Eleanor Eguabor, Danny Bacon (Yvonne); beloved grandchildren, Rolanda Johnson (Larrell), Elisa White, Orlando Bacon Jr. (Raylinda), John Bacon, Erica Bacon, Shalita Bacon, Alex White, Troy Bacon, Charles Bacon, Trey Bacon, Lauren White, Tye Bacon; great-grands: Larriah, Liahana and Liam Johnson, Yanna and Amaya Bacon, Lola Edwards Adoptive son: Michael Genius; adoptive grandson: Rashard "Rizz" Royster; sisters and brothers: Ellen Galvin Murphy, Thelma Badger, Carretta Stewart, Jean Gilmore (Nolan), Hazel Moses (Felton), Margaret Bartley, Carolyn Bentley (Charles), Jereldene Powell; sister-in-law: Shirley Puerto; brother-in-law: Melvin Marshall. A host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, devoted friends, Ida Booth, Mohammed Nayeem and family. John married Martha Elizabeth Gomez in 1960, and they remained best friends until her passing in April 2021
