John David Burney was born December 25, 1935 to the late John and Isolina Jones Burney and was a longtime resident of Tampa, Florida. He was a Longshoreman, International Longshoreman's Association, #1759 for many years before retiring. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends and playing the Florida Lottery. John was also a member of the Masons since 1972, Lodge No. 150. He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving wife, Ophelia Burney; step-children, Audrey Farrow, Ezekel Farrow and Howard Roundtree; daughters-in-law, Julia L. Anderson, Dorothy Farrow and Zelline W.
