Homegoing services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010, 4:00 p.m., Hood Temple AME Church. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. John Ellis was born on October 6, 1937, in Albany, Georgia. He was simply a humble and giving person. He enjoyed spending time with his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Ellis Sr. and Eula P. Ellis. He leaves to cherish his memories one son, John Ellis Jr.; brother, Elder Willie Ellis of Salisburg, NC; sisters, Mattie Salter of Waycross, GA, Loraine Hargow of Albany, GA, Jerraine Parks of Franklin, TN, and Geneva Hobley of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
