John Kanu Ijoma was born January 25, 1983 in Brooklyn, New York to Kingsley and Idowu Ijoma. John was a member of Word of Faith Covenant Ministries (Chapel of Faith) Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed travelling, playing basketball, video games and watching Nigerian home videos. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving family: wife, Hyunjung Kim; parents, Kingsley and Idowu Ijoma; brother, Calvin Ijoma; sisters, Ajibike Owoyomi and Moyosore Ijoma; sister-in-law, Folashade Ijoma; brother-in-law, Akinsola Owoyomi; aunts, Omolara Adisa, Alaba Ajayi, Eniola Ayoola (Phd), Kehinde Akeredolu (Phd), Elizabeth Ijoma and Irene Ijoma; uncles, Omotayo Ayoola, Adewale Ayoola (Phd) Bernard Ayoola (Phd) and Ibukunoluwa Ayoola; nieces, Gduwllah Owoyomi, Ifetioluwani Owoyomi, Zeman Owoyomi and Elizabeth Ijoma; nephew, Cyrus Owoyomi; cousins, Oluwafemi Adisa, Oluwadamilola Owoeye and Adeife Marciniak; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
