Homegoing celebration for Mr. John Arthur Lee of Tampa, Florida who passed away February 16, 2013 will be held Saturday February 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. James L. Gallon, pastor of Christian Praise and Worship Center, officiating. John was born May 16, 1940 to the late Buster and Willie Mae Lee in Albany, Georgia. John enjoyed playing cards for fun and fishing. He was preceded in death by sisters, Willie Pearl Chambers and Ruby Baldwin and brother, Roger Lee. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with children, Angela Weatherspoon and husband Elijah of Avon Park, FL, Diane Lee of Atlanta, GA, Bernice Lee Price of Albany, Georgia, Melinda Lee of Avon Park, FL, John A. Lee, Jr. of Albany, GA and Isaac Lee of Chicago, Ilinois; grandchildren, Jonesa, Shaneese, Altanya, Altus, Altus Jermaine and Shantavia Lee, January Hoston, Gordon, De'Antwan, Mario and Vershundra Price, Latriva, Dontavia and Donald Strange; great grandchildren, Mahogany Johnson, Aniah Lee and Taylin Hoston; brothers, Buster Lee III of Sasser, GA and Joe Lee of Albany, GA; sisters, Dollie Kearney of Albany, GA, Doris Calhoun of Sasser, GA and Mildred Bradford of Albany, GA; very special friend, Mr. Curtis; goddaughter, Mrs. Joann and lifelong companion, Twila James. The visitation will be held 1 hour before the service on Saturday. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
