A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. John W. Taylor of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 will be held on Saturday March 20th, 3:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

John W. Taylor was born April 2, 1942 in Dade City, Florida. He attended St. James A.M.E. Church. He enjoyed boxing and playing the drums. He was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Taylor and Willie O'Neil; sister, Betty Jean Taylor; daughters, Yvonne Grier and Cassandra Robinson. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving and caring wife, Joann Taylor; children, John W. Taylor III of Syracuse, New York, Annette Taylor of Rochester, New York, Curtis Taylor of Tampa, Florida, Darnell Dexter of Syracuse, New York, Virgil Crump (Keisha) of Tampa, Florida, Katina Hollingshed (John) of Tampa, Florida, Monique Taylor of Syracuse, New York and Wes Taylor of Orlando, Florida; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Taylor; a host of nieces and nephews; friends, Virgie Mile, Stan Womack, Barbara Davis, "Gator" Botwell, Maseo Brown, Victor Smiley and Rev. James Sykes; a host of other family and friends that will miss him.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 19th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
