Homegoing service for Mr. John Julius Williams, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on, Tuesday, February 4, 2014, will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Rev. Beverly Lane, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. John was born on January 24, 1962 in Tampa, Florida. John loved to go fishing and watching baseball. His favorite television show was the Golden Girls. John was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Elaine Burn; paternal and maternal grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Valerie Williams; children, Tunesia McCleary, Katrica Singleton, TeQuilla Singleton and Dontavios Singleton; 14 grandchildren; parents, John J. Williams, Sr., and Ruth M. Mitchell; brothers, Jovan J. Williams, Jeffrey Randall and Jeron J. Williams; sisters, Jovanna J. Williams, Cheyanne D.M. Williams and Brijonna J. Williams; aunts, Eugenie Shuler, Mary Ponder and Daisy McCray; great uncle, Leroy Mitchell; nephews, Gary Pressley and family, Ransom Flowers, Donshay McCleary and Steven McCleary; niece, Ebony Burns and friend; brothers-in-law, Willie Burns and Ransom McCleary; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends; good friends, Harvett, David, Steve, Maurice and John (Publix Supermarket); Indigo Team of Hospice (Steve) and Tampa General Hospital, 6th and 7th floor nurses. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 14th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service.
