Obituary

Homegoing service for Mr. Johnny Lovett, will be held Saturday, June 14th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Dr. B.R. Fulton, pastor of Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Lovett passed away on June 2, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Tampa, Florida, where attended Hillsborough County schools. Mr. Lovett moved to Cincinnati, OH and resided there for the past 45 years. He was a member of Church of the Advent, Rev. KJ Oh, pastor. He enjoyed being a poet and artist his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Lovett and Alberta Lovett Robinson, brothers, James and Theodore Lovett and sister, Beatrice Lovett Lewter. He is survived by three sisters, Roberta Willis, Roberta Fields and Lolita Lovett; brother, Wendell Robinson; nieces, Linda Williams (Gerard) and Renee Taylor (Charles); nephews, Leon Doby (Tina) and Gerald Fields; grand nieces, Valinda Warren Llyod, Trinicia Taylor, Benita Doby and Daryah Doby; grand nephews, Clarence Warren (Kristina), Tony Doby (Ceclia), Derek Doby and Adrian Doby; cousin Margie Lovett; grand nieces, Jada Lloyd, Nadia Lloyd, Alicia Doby and Brianna Hinson; grand nephews, Dajshon Malik, Christian Doby Dorian Taylor and Charles J. Taylor; special friends, Gerald Peterson, Magalene Chester, Ann Whetstone, Tom Cunningham and Rev. K.J. Oh, all of Ohio. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
