Johnny B. Young was born on March 19, 1951, in Quincy, Florida to the late A.L. Young and Mary Vonteen Young. Johnny loved watching sports and enjoying a good meal. He was a long-time member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Johnny Young, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving wife, Sharii Brown; brothers, Albert Young (Mary) and Wilford Young; sisters, Earleen Young-Hollis and Locester Prasha; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Although he will be greatly missed, he was too well-loved to ever be forgotten.
