Homegoing Services for Mr. Joseph Bell, Jr., who passed away on January 9, 2016, will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Minister Joseph Bunts, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bell, an only child, was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bell, Sr., and mother, Flossie Hunter Bell. Mr. Bell leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 64 years, Bettie L. Bell. To this union are his children, Joseph Bell, III, (Kate), Jackie Bell Dennis (Pastor Vic), Beverly Bell Sykes (Kelly), Elder Ronald Bell (Brenda), Kenneth Bell (Bonnie) and Darrell Bell. He has 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Mr. Bell was born May 15, 1934 in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of and attended Greater Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Church from childhood into becoming a man, having knowledge of Jesus Christ. His failing health prevented his attendance for several years. Mr. Bell was employed by Cargill Chemical Company for more than 33 years of labor to support his family. He was well known by family and friends as "Baby Joe". The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The friends are asked to assemble at Aikens Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. for the service
