Joseph Cefice Brown, Jr., was born December 29, in Detroit, Michigan to the union of the late Joseph Cefice Brown, Sr., and the late Pauline Helen Brown in 1957. Joseph attended Detroit Public Sch, and is youth at McDowell Elementary, Beaubien Middle, then graduated from Mumford High School, class of 1977.
Soon after, he joined The United States Marine Corp. He served as military police then as a combat engineer for 7 years. During that time, he married his beautiful wife, Valerie Brown "Mikki" from that union they had two sons, Klinton T., and Sean-Joseph D. Brown. "JC" worked at The United States Postal Service for 34 years where he received many commitment awards and retired as a processing clerk in 2020, and moved to Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed riding his bike, bird watching, discussing politics, working on projects from plumbing to electrical even automotive, loved nurturing his plants, and being the first to get any new electronic device. Joseph also enjoyed traveling to New York to visit family, to The Jerry Springer Show, The White House, Trump Tower, and so many more places. Joseph was the life of the party and brought everyone in the family together. Joseph C. Brown Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Brown Sr., mother, Pauline H. Brown; son, Klinton Terrelle Brown; sister, Cora Lee Brown, and ex-wife, Valerie Bernadette Brown.
In loving memory he leaves to mourn his son, Sean-Joseph D. Brown; sister, Ora Ella Brown-Davis , daughter-in-law Shannon Brown, two grandsons, Sean Brown and AnGelus Brown; one granddaughter, Heavenly Brown; nephew, Andrew Joseph Davis, two nieces, Kim Josephine Brown and Erica Shanae Brown; grandnephew, Khalyon Joseph L. Stewart; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends especially his co-workers at the US Post Office, where they affectionately called him "JC".
