Joseph was born May 18, 1948 in Haiti to the late Steven Presume and Rose Elizabeth Brutus. He was called home to the Lord on January 5, 2012. Joseph was a teacher and enjoyed spreading the good news of the Lord. He also enjoyed reading, fixing things and watching sports. He was a member of University Haitian Baptist Church. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Steven Presume, first wife, Annoncia S. Brutus and brother, Paulx Presume. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Suzie Pelissier Brutus; children, Karl and wife, Francisca, Patrick and wife, Julia, Maxime, Emmanuel and wife, Kamilya, Midlaine, Ray Pierre, Jim and Dave; grandchildren, Lotita, Jessica, Christopher, Christelle, Olivier, Myles, Emmanuel, Jr., and Jordan; his mother, Rose Elizabeth Brutus; aunt, Saintania Brutus; nieces, Nahomie, Monique, Betty, Carmel, Menci, Menditte, Molly, Ashley, and Danna; nephews, Junior, E-Man, Samy, Juanito, Reginald and Robenson; cousins, Lesly Brutus, Guercy St. Phard and wife, Renaude, Erzulia, Carole, Sainta, Nosta and Wislande and wife, Marlene; other relatives and special friends, Marie Bastien, Dieula Souffrant, Tante Cille, Miryam "Mimi", Pierre-Antoine Sylvestre, Edgar Dupiton, Yves and adopted son, Geanso. The viewing will be held 1 hour before the service at West Hillsborough Baptist Church at 1.m. on Saturday, Januray 14th.
