Joseph (Jay) Nestor Kuzmick, Jr., devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Friday Feburary 2nd, surrounded by his family.

Born 1937 in Orange, NJ to Joseph Nestor and Marie Wolf Kuzmick. Jay graduated from Del Barton High School and later Seton Hall University. He worked in a number of industries and as owner/proprietor of Kuzmick Musical Instruments of Tampa, FL. His talents were many: he was an accomplished guitarist and singer, a longtime leader of the church folk group, and a prolific and gifted painter. He was a lover of animals, and for many years devoted his time to volunteering in the pet therapy programs at Moffit Cancer Center and Tampa-area nursing homes.

Jay is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Grass Kuzmick, children Joe and his wife Holly, Carol, Kathy and her husband Bob, Bill and his wife Christine, and Jen, as well as his grandchildren Ryan, Jimmy, Shannon, Lindsey, Lauren, Kaitlin, Delaney, Ben, Emma, Brady, Kerra, Jake, Ella, Ethan, Luke, and Jovie.

There will be a memorial mass for Jay on Tuesday February 20th at Christ the King Catholic Church at 2pm, immediately followed by a reception at 2100 W. Watrous Ave, Tampa, FL 33606.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jay's memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Humane Society of Tampa, and the Byrd Alzheimers Center and Research Institute.
