Funeral services for Mr. Josh Andrews, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on June 30, 2012, will be held on Thursday, July 5th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with a Kingdom Hall Brother, officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Mr. Andrews was born on January 28, 1938 in Amsterdam, Georgia, later the family moved to Attapulgus, Georgia. He was a member of Unity M.B. Church. He retired from GTE Data services and USAF Reserve after many years of service and also attended USF. He was a resident of Tampa for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Josh Lamar Andrews and Daulton Akins Andrews; siblings, Willie Gus Andrews and Julia M. Andrews- Byrd. He leaves to cherish memories with a devoted wife, Earvine Andrews; children, Cheryl L. Andrews, Reginald Josh Andrews, Sr., Marvin Cole and Randy Love; grandchildren, Reginald Andrews, Jr., Octavia Andrews-Freeman and Devin Andrews; brother, Bernard Andrews; sister, Rev. Dorothy Kennedy; nephews, Michael Byrd, Gregory Andrews, Robert Byrd and Paul Andrews; and a host of other relatives; longtime friends, Larry Johnson, Rondon Paul and Donza Drummond. The viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday, July 5th, at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel.
